Day 1:
8:30 AM - Pick up at your hotel in ChiangMai.
- After about an hour drive north, you will arrive at the Thai
Elephant Home. You will register, change clothes, and then meet the
mahouts, being taught all the basic knowledge about elephant control.
12:00 PM - Lunch at Thai Elephant Home.
-Get your own elephant and ride mahout style through the beatiful forest.
- Enjoy a swim with the elephants at the river.
- Head back to camp.
7:00 PM - Cook your own traditional dinner under the guidance of the mahouts!
- Learn about the history of elephants and mahouts.
Day 2:7:00 AM - Clean, bathe and feed the elephants and clean their huts.
- Prepare a traditional breakfast.
- Pay respect the the Ganesh (Prapikaneat).
- Trek through the forest and practice controlling the elephant using voice commands.
12:00 PM - Have lunch in the forest.
-Take elephants to play in the black mud.
- Swim in the river.
3:30 PM - Prepare your camping equipment.
5:00 PM - Head into the forest.
7:30 PM - Cook dinner with the mahouts.
- Relax and allow the soothing jungle noises to lull you to sleep.
Day 3 :
7:00 AM - Get up, have special breakfast in the forest before returning to camp.
- Become the mahout by training others.
- One last trek in the forest with the elephants.
12:00 PM - Have lunch in the forest.
- Take elephants back to bathe in the river.
3:00 PM - Change clothes and relax. Say farewell to your new friends.
4:00 PM - Head back to Chiang Mai. |
